He still didn't listen to me.
He asked for a $2000 car that's safe, small, fuel efficient, and overall appropriate for his younger daughter.
I gave him some great suggestions... I come back from vacation and he buys the trashiest V6 Mustang I have ever seen.
There are welds where there shouldn't be welds. Odometer rolled back, wrecked title from another state, issues with the title, probably stolen, hit more times than you can imagine. Overall probably the last thing I would want my daughter to be in.
I gave him some suggestions on what to replace. So he went out and had racing stripes put on it instead, because I'm guessing front suspension parts don't make you cool now a days.

PERFECT first car. It'll get wrecked again, no need to throw a perfectly good car down the toilet by pairing it with a teenage driver.

I mean I'm all for a beater first car, but there has to be a limit. $2000 could've got something that probably still has real airbags.
sm70- why not Duesenberg?

Aaaand suddenly I feel my choice was very practical. At least I won't die.

Just tell him that the Mustang was voted easiest for road head.

what a character. Tell him that the mustang he bought was the same kind you had a pregnancy scare in with a lady friend - "so cramped in the back she just couldn't get off in time!"

Meh, my dad gave me his sportbike and my younger sister his similarly trashed, probable-cause-tinted V8 Mustang, so don't go running out for the Father of the Year trophy just yet. Here it is trying really hard to look respectable:
And mine's so unsafe, it doesn't even have doors or seatbelts!

Points for V8.
If I had a bike at 16 I probably wouldn't be here right now honestly.

V8 and manual, as if that needed to be stated. And his bike I didn't get until I was 22, but I still bought a Ninja by 20 and various 125cc dirtbikes before that.
AMGtech - now with more recalls!

What an asshat. I have one standard when it comes to cars for my family or recommending cars for others, clean titles only. I've seen way to many poorly repaired cars that are downright dangerous. A few times I've sent cars away on tow trucks because they were that bad and their owners didn't want to make them road worthy.
